A morning boat ride to Coatue beach.

Hop on a boat and enjoy a lunch cruise through the harbour to a remote beach. About half of Nantucket is conservation land, including Coatue, where we ventured.

An afternoon walk to Sankaty lighthouse.

Sankaty lighthouse is iconic and a great reason to check out the charming town of Sconset. Walk the bluff to see the beautiful houses and gardens overlooking the ocean. If we're feeling ambitious, we bike from town and end with lunch at Claudette's.

An evening making s'mores.

There's nothing better than making s'mores around the fire on a cool New England night. I always pack a scarf or wrap to keep warm and still look put together.

Morning trip to the Nantucket Lightship Basket museum.

The Lightship Basket Museum highlights the craft of basket weaving, ivory carving and scrimshaw since the 1800s on Nantucket. It is an art that still exists on island and The Nantucket basket purse, made famous worldwide in the 1960s, is still highly coveted. Go and learn about one of many crafts this dynamic island has to offer.

A beach trip with a pal in a vintage jeep.

There are so many beaches to escape to for a relaxing afternoon with friends. Make sure to bring a hat, some games, a good book and a delicious sandwich from Something Natural.

A stroll past Nantucket's oldest house.

Nantucket is rich in history and around every corner there is a surprise. We make sure to walk or ride our bikes as much as possible to our destinations because half the time you stumble upon historic landmarks like Nantucket's oldest house built in 1686 by the Coffin family. While I'm usually in a more active outfit during the day, I love to dress up for a nice meal at a charming restaurant at night and stroll into town.

A beach barbecue at Eel Point with corn hole, a bonfire and star gazing.

An early morning breakfast with fresh picked berries and donuts from Downyflake.

My kids love harvesting our own food on island. In the summer blueberries and strawberries are our fruits of choice and we always pair these juicy treats with Downyflake donuts. This breakfast spot has been an island institution for years and a family tradition.

An adventure to Bartlett Farm for strawberry picking.

As Nantucket's largest farm, Bartletts has incredible produce and a yummy market. Stop by and pick up quarts then walk out to their fields for pick your own strawberries. Don't forget to whip up some shortcake to go with it at home.

Flower arranging with hydrangeas from the garden for dinner with the family.

My father is an avid gardner... I love the art of picking his beautiful flowers and coming up with creative arrangements for our dinners.

Family potluck with summer dishes like corn and tomato salad, fish tacos and ribs.

With a large family that spans many generations and many parts of the island, we cherish getting together for loud and fun dinners.
