Blue and white accents become the visual interest of this room when grounded by white, black, and dark wood furniture pieces. I can never have too many blue & white ceramics (ginger gars, trays, lamps, bowls..etc.) and coffee table books, which I stack and use for display throughout all of the rooms of my apartment.

My favorite decorating trick that I learned from my mom is repetition. Repetition can create a dynamic and dramatic impact when done with simple objects.

A crisp blue and white color palette works as an excellent canvas for neutral and natural elements. I gravitate toward natural-fiber rugs, rattan, wood, grass cloth, and wicker furniture pieces.
